The ski buses are my favorite way to get to the ski resorts around here. Sometimes, it's also nice to have the freedom of a car, and the ski train to Garmisch is quite efficient, but really, you can't beat the ski buses. Why? Well, you just don't have to worry about anything. Not the traffic. Or the bad weather and difficult driving conditions. Or that you're tired, either from having to wake up so dang early or from a full day of hard skiing. Or parking. Or even buying your ski pass. It's all taken care of for you, and even better, it's usually the cheapest option around. Take our trip yesterday - for a grand total of 59 Euros we got our full day ski pass, transport to and from the ski resort (3+ hours each way), and even a sandwich and coffee on the bus. Skiing is an expensive sport, but the ski buses strive to make it more affordable for everyone. And I appreciate that.
