Also there is just something about Spring and bubble tea. When the sun is out, the air is starting to warm, and I'm on my bike, I always think, "hmm I should stop by Lou Lan Cha on my way home and get a bubble tea."
Classic Black, Matcha, and Taro are my favorites. And always with the tapioca pearls... because that's the whole point of bubble tea.
So I know that bubble tea can seen like one of those crazy trends that's just a little weird, and if you've got a texture abhorrence, then it would not be for you. And certainly, Munich and bubble tea might not be what you are expecting. But a few years ago bubble tea got quite popular in Germany (a little behind on the trend as always), and shops started popping up all over. And I love that, because after having lived in so many places around the world, I need a little piece of my many "homes" nearby. Bubble tea takes me straight back to life in Chiangmai, when I would zoom around on my motorbike, wore flip flops every single day, learned to love spicy food, drank Fanta out of plastic bags, and bubble tea from the little kiosk in the basement of the nearby shopping mall...
So for anyone else who has a similar love for bubble tea, and a craving come Spring and sunny weather, this is a great place to go.
